Engineer / Producer
Daniel Davis has an honours degree in music with composition as a major. Postgraduate he went on to study teaching and has taught music from primary school up to Standard Grade, Higher, and 'A' Level, and taught composition to lifers in Saughton Prison. Later he studied audio engineering. He has been involved with the performance of music since he was a child - from school to county youth orchestras, university to professional orchestral playing. He has also conducted choirs and orchestras, and is now actively involved in the acoustic music scene in Edinburgh including being the current chairman of Edinburgh's premier open-mic night - Out of the Bedroom. This means that you are getting a consumate musician rather than just a knob-twiddler. He is good at coaxing the best performance out of musicians within realistic timescales, and creates a relaxed but concentrated vibe in the studio. A recurrent theme in comments is that he cares about the music.
