In general, the amount of time spent recording, editing and mixing will make a big difference to the end quality of the product.
For the highest quality it is not unusual to spend as much time editing and mixing as originally recording the material.
If you are on a limited budget, you might consider recording fewer songs at a higher quality. After all, you can always record more songs at a later date. And a really good demo is more impressive than a rushed album. Several smaller recordings can always be compiled into an album later.
Many bands will find it easier to manage time off work, energy and concentration,
as well as their budgets if large projects are broken down into smaller chunks.
Of course if you want to block blook the studio for a month we'll be happy to oblige.
